About Castle of Gilau

The sixty-room castle forms a large square approximately 70 metres long on each side with one hexagonal and three round towers of unequal size at the four corners. The four wings surround a large interior courtyard which could be made suitable for large gatherings and open air musical performances.

On the ground floor of the north wing there is a large – 200 sq. metre - columned dining hall capable of accommodating 100 diners at a time. On the first floor of the north wing there is another large hall - 250 sq. metres – which could either be converted into smaller rooms or used for receptions, exhibitions or as a theatre.

The castle is surrounded by a 17 hectare park with fine view of the Gilau Mountains.
